Job purpose

This position will collaborate with QA on product testing and other R & D areas that need engineering input.

Duties and responsibilities

• Work with the CNC operators when they need programming advice
• Trouble shoot problems with production and QA when there are production related issues
• Investigate the need for new machinery and find the best machine for our production needs
• Knowledge of equipment capabilities in regards to manufacturing inputs and outputs
• Work with QA on testing and other areas that need engineering input
• Implement “Lean Manufacturing” by developing systems to improve workflow
• Collaborate with suppliers to keep our production equipment efficient through tooling experimentations and trials
• Initiating time studies to verify the accuracy of M2M with regards to getting the time and materials correct on all parts and cylinders
• Be on the root cause analysis team for continuous improvement
• Management retains the right to assign or change responsibilities upon request

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 2-year Technical Degree

Previous Experience Preferred: 5 years’ experience in manufacturing helpful.

Must understand machining, welding, and assembly operations.

Skills Preferred: Engineering and manufacturing knowledge. Computer knowledge of MS Office products. Organized and project orientated.
