Engineering Philosophy
Our sales and hydraulic application engineering staff, with more than 75 years of combined experience, will work with you to become an extension of your team. This shifts design costs away from your company ensure that you have expert engineering and helps advance your projects more quickly.
We will be there for support from start to finish for new or ongoing projects. We will work with you from the early design phase, application engineering, and approvals through to production and field support for the life of the product. What does that look like in real life?
- A customer was having difficulty bleeding air from cylinders on a specific liftgate due to how it was embedded in the frame. We thought outside the box by engineering hydraulic cylinders with an innovative solution to bleed the air. Now their cylinders are able to be assembled without taking the time to bleed the air, speeding their assembly time.
- A new custom cylinder design fixed a long-standing problem for a customer. Our engineers rerouted hosing through a hard fluid line welded to the cylinder. This line enabled us to move the port from one side of the cylinder to the other. Because the hose was no longer exposed externally, the new design eliminated a potential pinch point. It also avoided the high risk of a hard-line breaking in the field. Additionally, it improved the assembly of the cylinder to the machine, making assembly easier and faster for the OEM.
- An organization was struggling with rod seals leaking fluid within a short time. Our engineers stepped in as an extension of the company’s engineering team. They spent time in the field to identify the unique set of circumstances for the cylinder. We worked through their application to solving the issue and developed a combination of seals and rod materials that ensure a long service life for the specific application.

Our ISO 9001:2008-certified standards ensure that each hydraulic cylinder is manufactured to exacting specifications developed jointly between our Sales, Engineering and Quality departments–and you. In addition to our high design standards, every cylinder is individually inspected and tested before leaving our dock.
