Our History
In 1952, the original building and business of Columbus
Hydraulics was established by Leo Sokol with sons, Jack
and Emil, Max Sidwell, and Mel Sinner. This company
did custom tool and die work along with a few hydraulic
cylinders.
In
1959, Don Sokol purchased the corporation and operated
the business until 1961, when he sold the company to
the group of Bernie Jaksich, Eileen Nekl and Don Cimpl.
In
1970, the present ownership, Don, Manny and John Cimpl,
took control. John Cimpl, who is currently the
president and general manager, came on board in 1973.
Senior design engineer, Ron Faltys, started in 1974.
Todd Duren, sales manager, began his employment in 1995.
Sales
